Lime Tree Theatre in Limerick City

The Lime Tree Theatre is a state-of-the-art 510 seat theatre, situated on the campus of Mary Immaculate College in Limerick city centre. Officially opened in October 2012, the venue hosts a wide range of performances, including theatre, music, comedy, traditional arts, schools’ performances and conferences. As a large scale theatre, it is a significant organisation within the national cultural infrastructure and, most especially to the cultural, social and economic life of Limerick and the mid-west.

The Lime Tree Theatre is situated on the rapidly expanding campus of Mary Immaculate College which offers a wide range of programmes in Education and the Liberal Arts at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Currently, over 3,000 students are engaged in studies here.

The Theatre Director is Louise Donlon, who has extensive experience in the Irish arts sector, with Island Theatre Company (Limerick), Druid Theatre Company (Galway) and the Dunamaise Arts Centre (Portlaoise). She is a former member of the Arts Council.

Dolans is a Traditional Irish Pub located on the Dock Road in Limerick. We have a Restaurant and three Live Music Venues (The Warehouse, Upstairs at Dolans and the Kasbah Social Club). Dolans pub is the hub of the complex, a traditional Irish bar with Irish music seven nights a week all year round. It has become a cultural attraction and this year received the IMRO award for best Live Music venue in Ireland. The bar is open 12pm daily for lunch and 10am on weekends and public holidays for breakfast.

The two twin venues the Upstairs and the newly built Kasbah social club hold host to a variety of different acts and events. From Rock, pop, acoustic to private parties these two fully purposed venues have a state of the art sound system and two private smoking areas to act as standalone spaces.

Dolans Warehouse reputation is universal. Tourists from all over the world regularly visit to photograph the venue that has played host to such legends as Glen Hansard, Damien Rice, Damien Dempsey, Christy Moore, and Ian Brown. In recent years Dolans has hosted concerts for important new acts as Kasabian, Mumford and Sons, Franz Ferdinand, Hozier, Snow Patrol, The Editors and Bell X1.It is a venue that musicians from all over the world consistently request to perform in and return to.
